About the Role:
As Senior Manager Client Operations at Fisher Funds, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering exceptional client experiences through operational excellence. Reporting to the General Manager Fund Administration and Operations, you will provide strategic oversight and hands-on leadership to a team of Client Operations Specialists who are the front line of client engagement.
This role encompasses leadership of end-to-end operational activities, with a strong focus on developing team capability, cultivating a high-performance culture, and embedding continuous improvement across functions with a drive towards digitisation and automation. You will lead initiatives that enhance service delivery, scalability, and compliance, ensuring our operational activities align with organisational goals and evolving client needs.
In addition, you will act as a key driver of operational strategy, ensuring consistency in service standards and regulatory compliance while fostering collaboration across internal teams and external partners. Your leadership will be critical in building resilience within the team and positioning Client Operations as a trusted and efficient function that supports Fisher Funds’ commitment to delivering exceptional outcomes for clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and Develop High-Performing Teams
- Coach and mentor Client Operations Specialists, fostering engagement, resilience, and professional growth.
- Set clear expectations, provide feedback, and create a culture of accountability and collaboration.
Deliver Operational Excellence
- Oversee client interactions and ensure timely, accurate processing of applications (onboarding, withdrawals, etc.).
- Implement common practice models, tools, and standards with in the Client Operations teams.
- Drive process improvements and digital initiatives to enhance efficiency and client experience.
Strategic Oversight and Reporting
- Translate strategic objectives into actionable operational plans.
- Lead workforce planning and deliver reporting insights that support transparency and informed decision-making.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and manage operational risk effectively.
Drive Change and Continuous Improvement
- Champion the adoption of Operational Excellence principles across Client Operations.
- Identify and implement process improvements that enhance service delivery and scalability.
- Support integration projects and standardisation of service and quality across teams.
Skills and Experience:
- 5–7 years’ experience leading and coaching high-performing operational teams, ideally within financial services or a client-centric environment.
- Strong capability in developing team leaders and fostering engagement.
- Proven ability to translate strategy into operational plans and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Experience managing service delivery across multiple client channels with a focus on consistency and quality.
- Skilled in process improvement; familiarity with Operational Excellence principles (Lean, Six Sigma) is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across teams and business units.
- Solid understanding of operational systems, workflows, and compliance requirements within financial services.
