About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Risk and Assurance, this Line 2 role partners with the business on the delivery and execution of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework, Compliance Assurance Plan, and centralised Governance, Risk and Compliance technological platform. Working closely with the wider Line 1 and Line 2 risk teams and business stakeholders, you’ll help uplift and maintain key frameworks, programmes, data and reporting that enables strong risk management practices, and positive client outcomes. This role is well suited to someone who enjoys collaboration, analysis, and contributing to a positive risk and compliance culture.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the execution of the Compliance Assurance Programme (CAP), including planning, coordination, and documentation
  • Support business continuity management activities and contribute to testing programmes
  • Conduct assurance testing to assess the effectiveness of controls and compliance with regulatory and internal requirements
  • Contribute to risk, compliance, and assurance reporting for management, committees, and the Board
  • Governance and risk committee administration, including meeting preparation and secretariat support
  • Deliver conduct management activities, including collecting and reporting conduct metrics
  • Drive  business continuity planning, and incident, breach, and complaint reporting  including root cause analysis
  • Promote a strong culture of risk awareness, compliance, health, safety, and continuous improvement

Skills & Experience

  • 2–3 years experience working in risk, compliance, or assurance, ideally within financial services.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in a regulated environment.
  • Knowledge of risk, compliance, or assurance frameworks and relevant legislation (e.g. FMC Act).
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and sound judgement
  • Confident communicator with the ability to engage and build relationships across the business
  • Experience preparing reports or papers for senior stakeholders
  • Well-organised, able to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently while contributing to a team environment
