About the Role:
You will be responsible for supporting the investment reporting and data function across investment operations. A core part of the role will be overseeing and managing investment reporting requirements, ensuring accurate and timely delivery for institutional clients, regulatory disclosures and investment data & analysis to various internal and external stakeholders on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
You will work closely with internal Digital and Data teams to develop and implement workflow automation, investment return databases and reporting tools to streamline investment data management, drive process improvements, and enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Investment Reporting & Analytics
- Oversee and manage investment reporting for institutional clients, regulatory disclosures for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the design and implementation of reporting tools and other advanced data solutions to increase operational efficiency.
- Maintain investment data and systems to reflect accurate investment returns, investment positions and valuations used in reports.
- Support Digital, Marketing and other areas in the business with data-driven insights, analytics, and performance reporting.
Data Management, Automation & Investment Systems
- Utilise and enhance internal workflows and automation tools within Bloomberg, Port Enterprise, and Snowflake to streamline investment data management and reporting.
- Develop and optimise investment database structures, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and efficiency in reporting processes.
- Manage daily data flows (inbound & outbound) across investment systems and digital platforms.
- Improve data governance, data security, and risk controls across investment operations.
- Lead automation and process improvement initiatives, identifying workflow enhancements, reducing manual tasks, and integrating data-driven solutions.
Front Office, Trading & Investment Support
- Collaborate with internal teams (Finance, Tax, Compliance, Digital & Data) and external stakeholders (Custodians, Registry Providers, Bloomberg, Trading Counterparties) to ensure seamless investment operational design and data flows.
- Ensure compliance with investment regulatory reporting requirements, contributing to reporting accuracy and operational risk management.
- Assist in the implementation of new investment systems and database architectures to improve data processing and reporting capabilities.
Change Management & Strategic Initiatives
- Drive investment operations change projects and process optimisations.
- Drive the implementation of cloud-based reporting solutions, machine learning insights, and automation in investment reporting.
- Mentor and train junior analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
About you:
We’re seeking individuals with:
- 2 - 5 years of Investment Operations Expertise – Strong experience in investment and or funds management, middle office operations, and investment systems.
- Data & Database Management – Proficiency in Bloomberg, SQL, Power BI, Snowflake, Python (preferred), and Excel-based modelling.
- Investment Reporting –Institutional client reporting, product regulatory reporting, performance and risk analytics.
- Process Improvement & Automation – Experience in digital transformation, automation, and workflow optimization.
- Problem-Solving & Leadership – Ability to identify operational risks and inefficiencies and lead solutions.
- A detail-oriented and analytical mindset with the ability to problem-solve.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to interact across front office, portfolio managers, risk, compliance, and external custodians and registries.
- A relevant qualification in Business, Finance, Investments, Data or a related field.
