About the Role:

Fisher Funds is seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Financial Crime Advisor to support our Financial Crime and the wider Risk and Compliance team with a 10-month fixed-term parental leave cover.

This role plays a key part in assisting the Senior Manager of Financial Crime with the implementation and oversight of our Financial Crime programmes, including AML/CFT, FATCA/CRS compliance, and fraud prevention. You will also contribute to ongoing activities such as transaction monitoring, PEP screening, and other operational tasks that support our compliance framework. Additionally, you will help foster a culture of vigilance across the organisation by supporting and equipping teams with the knowledge and tools to strengthen their understanding of Financial Crime.

You will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of our financial systems and ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute and support the AML/CFT programme, including transaction monitoring, suspicious activity reporting, client screening, and customer due diligence.
  • Ensure compliance with FATCA/CRS obligations, including annual reporting and process adequacy.
  • Lead fraud prevention and financial integrity initiatives, staying informed of emerging risks and providing guidance and training to internal stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal teams such as Client Services, Operations, and Wealth Advisors to support risk management efforts.
  • Provide support across the Financial Crime team as needed, contributing to assurance activities and general duties.

What You’ll Need to be Successful in the Role:

  • Proven expertise in AML/CFT, FATCA/CRS, and fraud risk management within a financial services environment.
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in business process improvement and quality assurance.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with a track record of building trust and delivering results.
