About the Role

The Change Lead plays a pivotal role in delivering this promise by driving transformation that empowers our clients to make confident, informed decisions at every stage of their investment journey from buying their first home with KiwiSaver to enjoying their nest egg in retirement.

This position is responsible for driving enterprise-level transformation, ensuring that change programmes are effectively designed, communicated, and embedded across the organisation.

With a strong focus on capability uplift, cultural agility, and operational excellence, this role will influence the mindsets, behaviours, and systems that underpin sustainable change. Whether supporting clients in their first-home journey through KiwiSaver or guiding them into retirement, the Change Lead ensures that every transformation initiative contributes meaningfully to our purpose.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Change Leadership

  • Lead the design, development, and execution of enterprise-wide change strategies that support transformational programmes and strategic priorities.
  • Apply structured change management methodologies to ensure consistent and effective adoption of new ways of working across project and BAU activities.
  • Conduct comprehensive change impact assessments and ensure alignment between internal initiatives and external programme dependencies.

Capability Building & Framework Development

  • Establish and embed robust change management frameworks that promote organisational agility and resilience.
  • Design and deliver targeted capability uplift initiatives, including training programmes, toolkits, and resources that support continuous learning and performance improvement.
  • Champion a culture of adaptability and proactive change leadership across all levels of the organisation.

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication

  • Partner with senior leaders, programme teams, and external stakeholders to co-create and deliver compelling change narratives that foster engagement and alignment.
  • Identify communication needs and support the development of strategic messaging that enhances understanding, readiness, and commitment to change.

Readiness & Success Measurement

  • Lead readiness assessments across key programmes to ensure stakeholders are equipped for successful implementation.
  • Monitor and report on programme effectiveness, change adoption, and risk indicators to inform go-live decisions.
  • Oversee verification testing and readiness signoffs, ensuring all criteria are met for sustainable implementation.
  • Define and track success metrics to measure progress, inform continuous improvement, and demonstrate value delivery.

Skills and Experience Required

Change Management Expertise

  • Proven experience leading organisational change across complex environments.
  • Strong understanding of change management methodologies and tools.
  • Ability to define success metrics and monitor change effectiveness.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
  • Experience working with internal and external stakeholders to align goals and drive shared outcomes.

Risk & Strategic Thinking

  • Ability to assess and manage risk in change programmes, ensuring alignment with organisational risk appetite.
  • Strategic mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Training & Capability Development

  • Experience designing and delivering training and communications to support change initiatives.
  • Passion for building capability and fostering a culture of resilience and adaptability.
